Collection: Guttapusalu necklaces

Guttapusalu means a "cluster of pearls". Guttapusalu necklaces are distinctive because of these tiny pearl bunches that dangle from the main necklace, resembling a school of small fish-symbolising prosperity, wealth and fertility. They are traditionally made of gold and adorned with polki, emeralds, rubies and kundan work with clusters of rice pearls or seed pearls. They are considered auspicious and traditionally gifted to South Indian brides, hence seen as a symbol of heritage and status, passed down as heirlooms across generations. We have collected a bunch of our own heirlooms and excited to showcase them to you here.
